Lisa Lynn Lalim, age 43 of Echo, MN passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, December 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 29, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Lisa Lynn Lalim was born on February 27, 1971 to Robert and Alda Faye (Busack) Lalim at the Granite Falls Hospital in Granite Falls, Minnesota, Yellow Medicine County. She grew up in the Wood Lake and Echo communities and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at American Lutheran Church in Echo. She attended and graduated from the Echo – Wood Lake Public School in 1989. On July 27, 1989, Lisa was united in marriage to Chris Berends at American Lutheran Church in Echo and to this union four children were born. She made her home in the Echo area where she was a mother and housewife but also worked as a bus driver for the school district, and as a cook at the Echo Senior Meal site. In February of 2012, Lisa met her fiancé Bradley Jeremiason and they made their home in Echo. Lisa enjoyed watching television, decorating, cooking, baking, camping, going out with Brad and going on the road with him for work, and planning her upcoming wedding. She enjoyed traveling to Oklahoma to visit her nieces and loved attending her children’s events. The most important thing in Lisa’s life was spending time with her children, family, and friends and she will be greatly missed by many. On Saturday, December 20, 2014, Lisa passed away unexpectedly at her home in Echo at the age of 43 years old. She is survived by her fiancé Bradley Jeremiason of Echo; four children, Anthony Berends of Belview, Jordynn, Andrea, and Preston Berends of Echo; her parents, Robert and Alda Faye Lalim of Wood Lake; siblings, Brad (Linda) Lalim of Hershey, PA, Clayton and Denise Lalim of Porter; aunts, uncles, three nieces, Brandi Lalim, Danielle Jones, and Tiffany Todd, nephew Dustin Lalim; and many cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her unborn child, grandparents, and infant niece, Amber Lalim. Blessed be her memory.
