Millicent “Millie” Paulette Schultz, age 85, of Belview, formerly of Echo, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at her home in Belview. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview. Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 AM on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Echo City Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association of Echo and Wabasso are handling the arrangements for the family. Millicent “Millie” P. Schultz was born on July 12, 1927 to Leonard and Frieda (Pehling) Johnson in Echo, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith, and attended and graduated from the Echo schools. On December 1, 1946, Millie was united in marriage to Raymond Schultz at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. After marriage they moved and farmed in the Morton and Franklin communities and then moved to St. James and farmed there for a short time. They moved from St. James to Sleepy Eye, and then on to New Ulm where Millie worked for 3M. After retiring from 3M, they moved to Bolivar, Missouri for a few years and then moved one last time back to the Belview area. Millie was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview. Millie enjoyed knitting, sewing, making quilts, reading, gardening, especially flowers, and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great – grandchildren. On Sunday, December 30, 2012, Millie passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of 85 years old. She is survived by her husband Raymond; four children, Robert (Cindy) Schultz of Courtland, Diane Melzer of New Ulm, Linda (Doug) Krenz of Sleepy Eye, and Nancy (Paul) Anderson of Casa Grande, AZ; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her parents, and sister, Leola Knutson, preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory.
