Agnes Antonia Ousky was born on June 13, 1918 to Frank and Mary (Marachek) Ousky on the family farm in Granite Rock Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. She grew up in Granite Rock Township where she attended District 80 Country School. She graduated from Wabasso High School in 1941 and in the 1980’s, she graduated from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota. Agnes worked as a farmer on her parent’s farm and continued to farm her whole life. She lived on the farm until 1997 when she moved into the Heritage Prairie Apartments in Wabasso. In January of 2012, Agnes became a resident of the Golden Living Center in Wabasso. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan, MN and was involved with teaching CCD. Agnes enjoyed playing the concertina, playing cards, loved artwork, especially using the letters of her last name to create unique works of art, and enjoyed going to rummage sales. She had a spunky personality and was not afraid to speak her mind. She was a very intelligent and caring person and would do anything for anyone if they asked her. On Friday, March 1, 2013, Agnes passed away at the Golden Living Center in Wabasso, Minnesota at the age of 94 years old. Agnes is survived by her sister-in-law, Edith Ousky, and nieces and nephews. Her parents and 6 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory.
