Erma A. Kropp, age 72, of Vesta, MN passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Avera – Marshall Medical Center in Marshall, Minnesota. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 – 8 pm on Monday, July 29, 2013 with a prayer service at 7:30 pm and will continue one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Kropp was born on November 12, 1940 to Reinhold and Erna (Hoppe) Nagorske at home during the Armistice Blizzard in Bingham Lake, Minnesota. She grew up in the Bingham Lake area and was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Windom, MN. She attended and graduated from Windom Area High School in 1958. After high school, she continued her education at the Mankato Business College in Mankato, MN. On August 6, 1961, Erma was united in marriage to Richard Kropp at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Windom. They made their home in Redwood Falls and then moved to the Vesta area. Erma worked at the Redwood Falls courthouse until 1965, when she quit working to take care of her children. In 1973, Erma went to work for the Vesta Farmers Elevator/Meadowland and continued to work there for 40 years. Erma was a church organist for many years at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Windom, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, and played at numerous relatives and friends weddings. She was also involved with the Extension Group of Vesta. Erma enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. On Thursday, July 25, 2013, Erma passed away at the Avera – Marshall Medical Center in Marshall, Minnesota at the age of 72 years old. Grateful for having shared her life are her two children, Sheryl (Gary) Louwagie of Marshall, and Jane (David) North of White Bear Lake; grandchildren, Kelli (Josh) Buysse, William North, and Claire North; great-grandchildren, Luke Buysse, and Hunter Buysse; three brothers, Walt (Pat) Nagorske, Herb (Marlys) Nagorske, and Eldon (Lorna) Nagorske; one sister, Alma (Bob) Peters; sister-in-law, Donna Nagorske, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her husband, Richard, her parents, brother, R. Junior Nagorske,sister-in-law, Margie Nagorske, and nephew, Lynn Nagorske preceded her in death.
