Bonita "Bonnie" Lou Knutson - Waconia/Belview

Bonita Lou Knutson, age 67, of Waconia, MN, formerly of Belview, MN passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Rock Dell Lutheran Church in rural Belview, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Renville Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Bonita Lou Knutson was born on June 21, 1946 to Earl and Betty (Smith) Wulf on the family farm in Renville County. She grew up in the Renville area and was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Renville. She attended and graduated from the Renville Public Schools. On September 26, 1964, Bonita was united in marriage to Wendell Knutson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Renville. After marriage, they moved to Minneapolis for a short period of time. In 1965, they moved to Belview, MN where they remained until 2001 when they moved to Waconia, MN. Bonita worked over the years as a housekeeper for the Parkview Home in Belview, the Belview Liquor store, and at Hoffco in Wood Lake. She is a past member of Rock Dell Lutheran Church in rural Belview. Bonita enjoyed playing cards, bingo, riding with her husband and son on the road in their semi trucks, and especially loved to be around her grandchildren, great-granddaughter, family, and friends. Bonita is survived by her mother Betty Wulf, husband, Wendell Knutson of Waconia; her two children, Anita (Kelly) Bavier of Eau Claire, WI, and Chad (Karen) Knutson of Waconia; four grandchildren, Leah (Chris) Engen, Ashley (Adam) Cetnar, Jordon Knutson, and Trenton Knutson; great-granddaughter, Lucy Cetnar; siblings, Karen (Marvin) Peters of Spicer, Ron (Judy) Wulf of Renville, Gary (Kathy) Wulf of Renville, and Rick (Becky) Wulf of Renville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her father, Earl, and sister, Carol Wulf preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory.
