Adora Ose - Echo

Adora M. Ose age 93 of Echo, MN passed away at Parkview Nursing Home in Belview, MN on Monday October 14, 2013. Services will be held Friday October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Valle Lutheran Church, Rural Echo MN. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo, MN, with at prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Adora May (Bue) Ose was born on March 26, 1920 in Clarkfield, Yellow Medicine Co.,MN to Emil and Marie (Kjos) Bue. She went to country schools in Swede Prairie and Normania Townships. From there she moved to Hanley Falls where she attended school and went to the Hanley Falls Lutheran Church and sang in the choir and was confirmed in 1935. She worked in St. Cloud three summers and stayed with her Grandma Kjos. Eventually she went to work for a lady by Maynard. Then she met Clarence for the second time in Granite Falls at the café. Clarence and Adora were married October 12, 1940 at the parsonage in Hanley Falls, MN. They lived on the Ose family farm which has become a 100 year farm. They raised their four children Duane, Diane, Kari and Michael. She has been an active member of the Rock Valle Church, Ladies Aide and Lutheran World Relief. Also she had her own upholstery business and sewed many quilts. She was very active in groups and enjoyed gatherings at her home. She loved playing cards with the Belview group and also loved being a member of the Red Hat Group. Adora has also been a traveler and enjoyed visiting Canada, Norway, Alaska, and China. Adora has lived on the farm 72 years. She remained living on the farm after Clarence passed away in 1981. Adora lived with her daughters after she left her farm. The last 4 ½ months of her life she resided at Parkwood Assisted Living and Parkview Nursing Home in Belview, MN. Adora enjoyed being around her old friends again playing cards and visiting. We want to thank all the people at the Belview Home for all their wonderful help and loving spirit. She leaves behind her son Duane (Rena) Ose, Ose Mountain, Alaska, daughters Diane (Gordy) Volkmann, Jordan, MN, Kari (Mark) Anderson, Muscatine, IA, daughter-in-law Susie Ose, Echo, MN, 21 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Ose, son Michael Ose, parents Emil and Marie Bue, brothers, Milo Bue, Roland Bue, Gene Bue, and baby brother Alex.
