Herbert Bernard Mueller, age 91, of Fergus Falls, originally of Echo, MN passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Parkview Home in Belview. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. A social gathering will be held immediately after the service and will continue until 3:30 pm also at the funeral home. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Herbert Bernard Mueller was born on October 29, 1922 to Bernard and Elsie (Marquardt) Mueller on a farm near Echo, Minnesota. Herb was baptized in November of 1922 and was confirmed on May 26, 1935 at Echo Evangelical Lutheran Church in Echo. He attended school in Echo. Over the years, Herb lived in Echo, Wood Lake, and Olivia, all on the farm and also in Renville. On April 6, 1947, Herb was united in marriage to Harriet Timm. They farmed, and Herb also worked for Duininck Bros. Construction as a truck driver. After retirement, Herb moved to Fergus Falls where he remained until moving one last time to Belview where he was a resident of the Parkview Home. Herb enjoyed horses, playing cards and fishing, especially ice fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. On Saturday, November 16, 2013 Herb passed away at the Parkview Home in Belview, Minnesota at the age of 91 years old. Herb is survived by his three children, Clark (Phyllis) Mueller of Belgrade, MT, Diane Ladwig of Rochester, and Kay (Todd) Strand of Shakopee; five grandchildren, Kari Mueller of Sterling, CO, Kent Mueller (fiancé Chrissy Hoffman) of Belgrade, MT, Kelsey Strand, Kaitlin Strand, and Kylie Strand, all of Shakopee, and one sister, Beverly (Paul) Schwieger of Cheyenne, WY; special friend, Betty Menze of Fergus Falls; sister-in-law, Alice Mueller of Shawnee, KS and many nieces and nephews. His parents, Bernard and Elsie Mueller, his siblings, Leona (Alfred) Behr, Helen (Eldor) Schave, and Leonard Mueller, infant sister, Phyllis, and son-in-law, Gerald Ladwig preceded him in death.
