James E. Jenson, 80, of Sanborn, MN passed away Friday, Dec 6, 2013 at Springfield Hospital from respiratory failure. Memorial Service to be held at the Lamberton Community Center – Lamberton, MN on 12/13/2013 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. A private graveside ceremony will be held in the spring at Lamberton Cemetery. Jenson was born on September 25, 1933 in Lamberton, MN to Alfred & Sidney (Hegwood) Jenson. Jim enlisted in the army at 17 and was a drill instructor in the11th Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY. He worked in the steel mill, on a mink farm, the C&N railroad, CF Industries and retired from Brown Printing as night Superintendent. Once you met Jim he was hard to forget. He had a quick wit and a gift for telling jokes and stories. Jim enjoyed fishing, music, motorcycling and his bibs. He always wanted to learn to fly but never got the opportunity. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and friends but our memories of him will be cherished forever. Surviving Jim are his wife Marion; children Deb (Dan) Parker; Sherri Jenson; Jolene (Jay) Nelson; Jeff (Laura) Jenson. Grandchildren: Joshua Claybaugh; Rebecca (Scott) Frederick; April Nelson; Amber Nelson; Latitia Jenson; Brian Jenson. Great grandchildren: Jacob Claybaugh, Cortney Maki, Katie Claybaugh, Lexi Claybaugh, Summer Erdmann, Raina Erdmann, Anthony Erdmann. Preceding Jim in death are his parents, brothers Alfred Jenson Jr. and Lowell Jenson, sisters Vernette Halvorson, Doris Parker and Jeanie Jenson. Blessed be his memory.
