Hazel Frank - Wood Lake

Hazel Frank, age 94, of Wood Lake, MN passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Granite Manor in Granite Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Posen Township, rural Wood Lake. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Friday, January 24, 2014 with a prayer service being held at 8:00 pm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. Hazel Minnie Farber was born on June 20, 1919 in Hennepin County, Hopkins, MN to Charles and Frieda Farber and brought to the Lord Jesus through the sacrament of Holy Baptism on July 13, 1919 by the Rev. Chas W. Hornberg. She was confirmed on April 9, 1933 by Rev. Carl S. Mundinger. In 1937, Hazel graduated from Hopkins High School. She was joined in Holy Matrimony on June 21, 1941 to Virgil Frank by Rev. W.P. Clausen at Zion Lutheran Church in Hopkins. Since their marriage, she has been a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Posen Township, Wood Lake. She farmed with her husband Virgil. Her enjoyments were flowers, gardening, volunteering and traveling. Hazel was called to her eternal home in Heaven on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Granite Manor in Granite Falls at the age of 94 years old. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Arlaine Farber of Annandale, and one brother-in-law, Lowell Frank of Westbrook, and many nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Virgil, brother, Walt, brother-in-law, Roger, and 2 sisters-in-law, Jeanette and Peggy Frank.
