Pernell Busack - Echo

Pernell Jeanette (Dresow) Busack, age 82, of Echo, MN passed away on Monday, February 03, 2014 at the St. Cloud Medical Center in St. Cloud. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Echo. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo with a prayer service at 6:30 pm with visitation continuing one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Echo Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the church. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. Pernell Jeanette (Dresow) Busack was born on July 6, 1931 to Cornelius George and Annie (Raveling) Dresow at their home in Granite Rock Township, Lucan, Minnesota. She was baptized on September 13, 1931 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lucan and was confirmed by Pastor Birkholz at St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. She attended country school District 79 – 113, Wabasso Schools, and graduated from Redwood Falls High School. On September 24, 1949, Pernell was united in marriage at St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls to Arden Busack of Echo where Arden owned a trucking transfer for 6 years. To this union, four children were born; Gary Lee, Gayle Lynn, James Arden, and Julie Ann. In 1955, they moved to the country and engaged in farming. Pernell shared in the farming operation and worked part time in Haats Hardware and Echo Deli and Decorating. Pernell was active in all community activities including Church and Auxiliary using her talents throughout life serving the Lord, teaching Sunday School, Altar Guild, Ladies Aid, and sharing in planning and making banners and sewing paramonts etc. to enhance the church sanctuary. She enjoyed traveling, painting, golf, fishing with family, and friends. Their adventures took them from Alaska to Texas where they spent their winters at Split Rail RV Park in Mission since 1987. They sold their farm in 2007 and bought a home in Echo. Pernell passed away on Monday, February 03, 2014 at the St. Cloud Medical Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota at the age of 82 years old. Leaving behind to mourn her passing is her husband of 65 years, Arden Busack of Echo; her three children, Gary (Amy) Busack of Des Moines, IA, Gayle (Gary) Rolli of Andover, MN, and James (Paula) Busack of Echo, MN; seven grandchildren, Travis (Tonya) Busack, Shannon (Chad Spoo) Busack, Trent (Bek) Busack, Leslie Oelrich, Laura (Scott) Ernste, Damian (Tanya) Busack, and Nathan Busack; nine great grandchildren, Brieanna, Vanessa, Griffin, Xavier, Takoda, Traeven, Tenavee, Aspen and Caleb; brother, George Dresow of Redwood Falls, MN, sister, Elaine Meyer of St. Paul, MN, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Dresow of Wabasso, MN, and a “grandmother” to many more extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Julie Ann, brothers, John, Lawrence, and Clarence, and sisters, Etta, Bertha, Augusta, Esther, Doris, and many nieces and nephews.
