Mildred Jane Norcutt - Lucan

Mildred J. Norcutt, age 92, of Lucan, MN passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Parkview Home in Belview. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lucan. Visitation will start at noon and continue until the time of service at the church. Mildred Jane Norcutt was born on June 3, 1921 to Christ and Maggie (Albertson) Larsen in Charlestown Township. She attended school in district 45 thru the eighth grade, and then went on to West Central School of Agriculture in Morris, MN. Upon graduation in 1938, Mildred came back to the farm to help her parents and many neighbors and relatives. In February of 1943, she married Florian Zwaschka of Lucan and to this union, five children were born. Florian died in February of 1960 and Mildred remained on the farm to raise her children. On January 26, 1962, she married Castle Norcutt and they continued to farm. Mildred loved music, dancing, fishing, crocheting, her children, grandchildren, and visiting with her many friends. On Monday, February 10, 2014, Mildred passed away at the Parkview Home in Belview at the age of 92 years old. She is survived by her five children, Kathryn (Dale) Donner of Minneapolis, Theresa (David) Johnson of Milroy, Mary Winden of Minneapolis, James (Kathy) Zwaschka of Milroy, and Paul (Jerene) Zwaschka of Fairmont; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, her sister, Eloise Kretsch, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her brother, 7 sisters, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Blessed be her memory.
