Jon M. Brockman, age 69 of Echo, MN passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Echo Alliance Church in Echo. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm on Sunday with a prayer service at 6 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Jon Micheal Brockman was born on November 7, 1944 to Leo and Rhoda (Olson) Brockman at the Clarkfield Community Hospital. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. He attended and graduated from Echo Public Schools. He enlisted into the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. On September 6, 1969, Jon was united in marriage to Linda Anderson at the Two Harbors Assembly of God in Two Harbors. They made their home on a farm west of Echo where Jon was a farmer, raised turkeys, and could do about anything with fabrication and welding. Jon enjoyed auto racing, watching the races and helping his sons work on their cars, loved tinkering with things, could make junk look good, liked music, singing, dancing, animals, and playing with his grandchildren. Jon liked to make people laugh and always put others first, but most importantly, loved to spend time with his family. On Wednesday, April 9, 2014 Jon passed away at the Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park at the age of 69 years old. Jon is survived by his four children, Sherri (Steve) Smith of Flagstaff, AZ, Tanya (Jason) Kevelin of Morgan, Jim (Barb) Brockman of Echo, and Todd Brockman of Echo; grandchildren, Malia, Jordan, Molly, Ryan, Micheal, Madelynn, and TJ; siblings, Steve (June) Brockman of Cottonwood, and Dean Brockman of Hastings; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His parents, sister, Marie Stengel, brother-in-law, Loren Stengel, and sister-in-law, Sharon Brockman preceded him in death. Blessed be his memory.
