Floyd C. Abrahamson, age 90 of Belview, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Parkview Home in Belview. Services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Rock Dell Lutheran Church, rural Belview. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 pm on Friday at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo with a prayer service at 4:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Floyd Clifford Abrahamson was born on September 3, 1924 to Henry and Helga (Flaata) Abrahamson in Sioux Agency Township, Yellow Medicine County. He was baptized on October 5, 1924 and confirmed on May 14, 1939 at Rock Dell Lutheran Church. He attended Country School #93. In 1946, Floyd enlisted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1947. On June 28, 1952, Floyd was united in marriage to Coralyn Marie Davidson Abrahamson at Rock Dell Lutheran Church. They made their home in the Belview area where Floyd farmed most of his life. Floyd was a member of Rock Dell Lutheran Church and held various offices over the years. He was also a member of the Belview American Legion for 41 years. He enjoyed playing Thursday night Buck with his friends and was known for his sense of humor. On Monday, January 5, 2015 Floyd passed away peacefully at the Parkview Home in Belview at the age of 90 years old. He is survived by his three children, Jane (Marty) Hovey of Enid, OK, Larry (Edi) Abrahamson of Belview, and Judy (Jim) Miller of Echo; seven grandchildren, Courtney (Eric) Savage, Kristin Glover, Aaron (Alyssa) Abrahamson, Becky (Matt) Huhnerkoch, Jill (Andy) Wohnoutka, Jamie Miller, and Jodie (Dusty) Wilson, ten great-grandchildren Harrison Glover, Corinne Savage, Elaina Savage, Lilly Abrahamson, Henry Huhnerkoch, Cadence Huhnerkoch, Jonah Nauman, Jaise Miller, Javin Mungai, and Samuel Wohnoutka, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife Coralyn, parents, twins Leroy and Lorraine at birth, one brother Harry Abrahamson, and two sisters Emily Sander, and Hazel Anderson. Blessed be his memory.
