David Herman Bahn, 90, of Wood Lake, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Parkview Nursing Home in Belview. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 27, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Wood Lake. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. David Herman Bahn was born on April 27, 1925, in Cottonwood, to David and Esther (Blazer) Bahn. He was baptized on May 17, 1925, and confirmed on May 14, 1939, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Posen Township. He attended St. Luke’s Grade School and later graduated from Wood Lake High School. On September 2, 1949, he was united in marriage to Lalah Plath. The couple farmed and raised their family in the Wood Lake area until retiring in 2003. For the last couple of years, David has been living at the Parkview Home in Belview. David was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. He was a member of the church council and school board. He was also a member of the Granite Falls Vocational Technical School Board and the Wood Lake School Board. He was very passionate about farming and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Lalah, of Wood Lake, children Michael (and Betty) of Leesburg, FL, Richard (and Gail) of Coon Rapids, MN, Lanae (and Chuck) Grieger of Wood Lake, Vicki (and Brad) Lundy of Dawson, Nathan (special friend Linette) of Wood Lake, Lori Bahn of Willmar, 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, siblings Verdina (and Bob) Molstad of Cottonwood, Geneva (and Art) Wetzel of Minneapolis, Dennis (and Doris) Bahn of Bloomington, Walden (and Judy) Bahn of Minneapolis, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet, brother Hilbert, brother-in-law Weldon Koch and grandson Benjamin Strey. Blessed Be His Memory
