Ginger Joan Baune

Ginger Joan Baune, 81, of Cottonwood, MN passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at her home in Cottonwood, MN surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday at the church with a rosary service being held at 4:00 pm and a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to mass at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Memorials preferred to Prairie Home Hospice or a charity of your choice. Ginger Joan Baune was born in Ruthven, IA to Arthur & Pearl Osterson Clesle Eaton on August 12, 1934. She lived in Iowa until her teenage years, and then moved to Morton, MN. She attended high school in Morton, MN. On July 7, 1953, she was united in marriage to Reynold Baune at St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton, MN. Ginger spent seven years of her life working at Schwan’s in Marshall, MN and the remaining years of her life as a loving homemaker. Ginger enjoyed upholstering with Reynold, sewing, crossword puzzles, counted cross stitches, and playing bingo. She spent a lot of time with grandchildren and loved them very much. Additionally, she was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Cottonwood, MN. She is survived by her 10 children Joseph Baune of Wood Lake, MN, Doug & Theresa Baune of Wood Lake, MN, Sue & Bill Hanson of Armstrong, IA, Debra Jones of Wood Lake, MN, John (Jack) & Kim Baune of Redwing, MN, Sandra & Dave Dworshak of Morton, MN, Karen & Donnie Dehnke of Morton, MN, Sharon & Brad Matthys of Cottonwood, MN, Troy & Kristy Baune of Aurora, CO, Todd Baune of Cottonwood, MN. She had 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard & Linda Waite of Poulsbo, WA, Jon Waite of Poulsbo, WA, Frank & Mary Beth Johnson of Fort Dodge, IA. She survived by her sisters Diane & Ron Karg of Glencoe, MN, Mavis Burdick of Austin, MN, Rose Planting of Esterville, IA, Candy of Austin, MN, and Donna Eaton of Montevideo, MN. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, one brother, one sister, one great granddaughter and her parents. Blessed be her memory.
