Jamie Alan Hyatt, 34, of Wood Lake, MN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Granite Falls Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Wood Lake United Methodist Church in Wood Lake. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm on Thursday at the church with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Wood Lake Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Jamie Alan Hyatt was born on Monday May 25, 1981 to Robert and Geraldine (Strom) Hyatt in Granite Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at the Wood Lake United Methodist Church in Wood Lake and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 2000. After graduation, Jamie attended Minnesota West Technical College in Pipestone. As a young man, Jamie worked for Richters Concrete and Bornhoff Concrete. For the past 13 years, he worked as a truck driver for Syring Trucking out of Granite Falls. He was a member of the Wood Lake United Methodist Church in Wood Lake. Jamie enjoyed motorcycles, Ford’s, and racing, especially NHRA. On Thursday, January 7, 2016, Jamie passed away unexpectedly at the Granite Falls Hospital at the age of 34 years, 7 months, and 17 days. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Gerry Hyatt of Wood Lake; three brothers, Robert Jr. (Judy Zoss) Hyatt of Canby, Travis (Shelley) Hyatt of Waseca, and Kyle Hyatt of Waseca; two sisters, Pamela (Michael) Woodbeck of Watertown, SD, and Kelly (Bill) Webb of Gordon, WI; ten nephews, three nieces, four great nephews, and one great niece. He was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Hyatt, paternal grandparents, Harry and Francis Hyatt, maternal grandparents, Ronald and Ruth Strom, and great nephew, Judah Woodbeck.
