LaVonne Clara Sander, 83, of Belview, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Parkview Home in Belview. Services will be 11:00 am on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Grace Lutheran Church or Parkview Home in Belview. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. LaVonne Clara (Luepke) Sander was born on Wednesday, January 4, 1933 to Theodore and Clara (Krause) Luepke on a farm in Echo Township. She was baptized on January 22, 1933 and confirmed on April 14, 1946 at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. She graduated from Echo High School in 1950. On September 5, 1953, LaVonne was united in marriage to Alvan Sander at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. They made their home on a farm outside of Echo until moving into Belview in 1966. LaVonne was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family business. She stayed involved with the books for nearly 60 years. She was also involved with the Belview Booster Club, Rolling Prairie Senior Citizens, WELCA at Grace Lutheran, Meals on Wheels, Parkview Auxillary, and ran a daycare out of her home. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, fishing, sewing, quilting, making clothing, and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. On Saturday, March 12, 2016, LaVonne passed away at the Parkview Home in Belview, Minnesota at the age of 83 years, 2 months, and 8 days. She is survived by her four children, Marlo (Kim) Sander of Belview, Curtis Sander of Belview, Alan Sander of Belview, and Paula Panitzke of Granite Falls; six grandchildren, Sommer (Eric) Day, Sunni (Anthony) Hemingsen, Aaron Sander, Jamie Sander, Keysha and Tangela Panitzke; five great grandchildren, Spencer and Bailey Day, Henry and Greta Hemingsen, and Jadon Sander; one brother, Dale (Marge) Luepke of Granite Falls; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvan (2014), parents, one great grandson, Gabrielle, and four brothers, Wallace, Leonard, Lloyd, and Larry Luepke. Blessed be her memory.
