Deloris Kremin

Deloris Kremin, 90, of Vesta, MN passed away at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN on Thursday March, 31, 2016. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April, 5, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Monday, April 4, 2016 with a prayer service at 7:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Deloris Kremin was born June 19, 1925 to Louis and Selma (Naab) Meier on a farm near Echo, MN. She was baptized on July 5, 1925 and confirmed on June 4, 1939, both at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. Deloris attended Country School District 61 S. and Echo Public School. As a young woman she moved to Redwood Falls, MN and was employed at Mike and Joe’s (Lauterbach) Café until they closed the business and then worked at the J. C. Penney Store. On January 27, 1946 Deloris married Orville E. Kremin at Peace Lutheran Church. They made their home in Marshall, MN until 1947, when they moved to a farm in Underwood Township, Redwood County. In 1956 they purchased Orville’s family farm, moved the family there and continued farming until their retirement in 1977. They remained living on the farm until 1999, when they moved into a home in Redwood Falls. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for several years and was active in the Ladies Aid. Deloris was also a member of the Underwood Extension IV, Vesta Senior Citizens and a 4-H leader for the Underwood Merryworkers. She loved her family, traveling and sightseeing with her husband throughout the states, winters in California, Texas and Florida. She also enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, playing bingo and fishing. Deloris became a resident of Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls in July of 2010 and then moved into Wood Dale Nursing Home in July of 2013 when she needed more care. In March of 2016 Deloris was transferred to Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN, where she died, surrounded by her loving family, on March 31, 2016 at the age of 90. Deloris is survived by her three sons, Gary (special friend, Roxanne Campbell) Kremin and Roger (special friend, Karen Wolf) Kremin, both of Redwood Falls, MN and Randy (Lori) Kremin of Villard, MN; one daughter, Brenda (Mark) Tjosaas of Fairfax, MN; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy and Verlin Meier, both of Bloomington, MN; sister-in-law, Jean Kremin of Redwood Falls, MN; one brother-in-law, Bill Erickson of Brainerd, MN; nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, her parents, Louis and Selma Meier, her in-laws, Erwin and Minnie Kremin, daughter-in-law, Betty Jane Kremin, grandson, Brent Kremin, two brothers and their wives, Harold (Marcella) Meier and Harvey (Elvira) Meier.
