Nancy C. Duncan, 78, of Cottonwood, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 08, 2016. A visitation with friends and family will be from 4 – 6 PM on Monday, June 13, 2016 with a sharing of memories and prayer service beginning at 6:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo. (Ludolph) Duncan was born on Friday, April 29, 1938 to Leon and Stella (Harrison) Ludolph in Pipestone, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Pipestone Presbyterian Church, and attended Pipestone public schools. On September 28, 1953, Nancy was united in marriage to James Duncan Jr. at the Presbyterian Church in Marshall and to this union Mark and Lisa were born. They made their home in Pipestone for a short time. They moved to San Diego, California in 1953 and returned to Pipestone in 1955. They lived on a farm near Pipestone from 1955 until 1961 when they moved to Casanovia. In 1963, they moved to Tracy for a few years until moving one last time to Cottonwood in 1966. Over the years, Nancy worked at Ludolph Bus Service in Pipestone, Tracy Red Owl, and drove school bus in Cottonwood until retiring in 2004. Nancy enjoyed playing cards, gardening, going to the casino, and spending time with her family. On Wednesday, June 08, 2016, Nancy passed away peacefully at her home in Cottonwood surrounded by her family at the age of 78 years, 1 month, and 10 days. She is survived by her husband, James Duncan of Cottonwood; two children, Mark (Marilyn) Duncan of Shakopee, and Lisa (Kent) Fratzke of Cottonwood; 5 grandchildren, Lindsay and Tyler Duncan, Dana (Andrew) Mack, Amanda (Dusty) Harris, and Anthony (Kelsey) Fratzke; 2 great grandchildren, Aubrey Harris and Baby Mack; 1 sister, Leona Huebner of Pipestone; and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Lyle Huebner. Blessed be her memory.
