Norma Elaine Lecy

Norma Elaine (Pederson) Lecy was born on January 26, 1937 to Palmer and Hazel (Huseby) Pederson in Swedes Forest Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Dell Lutheran Church and graduated from Belview High School in 1955. She worked at Tilda’s Store in Belview for a short time before marriage. On October 27, 1956, Norma was united in marriage to Gayle Lecy at Rock Dell Lutheran Church. They made their home on a farm near Echo where Norma was a homemaker and raised their five children. She was a lifelong member of Rock Dell Lutheran Church and was active with the Ladies Aid, Bethany Auxillary, Sunday school teacher and vacation bible school teacher. She was also in a card club and a sewing club for over 50 years. Norma enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, attending her children and grandchildren’s events, and just spending time with her family and friends. On Sunday, September 25, 2016, Norma passed away at the Granite Falls Manor in Granite Falls, Minnesota at the age of 79. She is survived by her husband Gayle Lecy of Echo; five children Greg Lecy (Becky) of Marshall, Kristi Lecy (Ron) of Apple Valley, Doug Lecy (Dawn) of Echo, Steve Lecy (Marsha) of Echo and Julie Anderson (Jeff) of Cass Lake; fifteen grandchildren Ross Lecy, Andrew Lecy, Abigail Lecy, Kirsten Jurgenson (Cameron), Cory Iskierka, Adam Iskierka, Megan Fratzke (Garrett), Molly Lecy (fiancé Seth Sparks), Dillon Lecy, Anna Risa (Steve), Kyle Lecy, Denver Lecy, Tom Anderson (Jenessa), Tony Anderson and Stacey Anderson; three great-grandchildren Hadley and Lincoln Jurgenson and KarLee Anderson; one sister JoAnn Schauer (Lloyd) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Palmer and Hazel Pederson, and granddaughter Chantelle Kurtz. Blessed be her memory.
