Laverna M. Schrader

LaVerna M. Schrader of Echo, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Sunwood Good Samaritan Society in Redwood Falls. A private family service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.   LaVerna M. Schrader was born at home on the farm near Echo, baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Posen Township. She was united in marriage to Eugene R. Schrader at Peace Lutheran Church of Echo. She was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church. She attended college at St. Cloud State and Southwest State in Marshall where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. After attending Mankato State and the University of Minnesota, she received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. LaVerna taught in several rural schools as well as in Belview and Echo. She was also a part – time Elementary Principal in Echo. LaVerna was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Schrader. She is survived by their two children, daughter, Rebecca and husband Gary Remmele of Dodge Center, Minnesota and son, John and wife Audrey Schrader of Echo, Minnesota. She is also survived by three grandchildren, grandson, Nathan Schrader of Wood Lake, granddaughter Alyssa and husband Benjamin Inniger of Mankato and granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Joshua Burton of Byron. She is also survived by great grandson, Graysen Burton and granddaughter, Eva Burton. She is survived by one sister, Mabel Hoepner of Redwood Falls and nieces and nephews and their families. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Elvira Kuehn and Magdalene Schnackenberg. May her soul rest in peace.
