Lavonne Marie Gladitsch

LaVonne Gladitsch, 76, of Vesta passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls, MN. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.   LaVonne Marie Gladitsch was born on January 7, 1941 in Redwood County to Lester and Martha (Gollmer) Gladitsch. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta and graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1959. She made her home in Vesta where she worked as a Housekeeper. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta and was active in the altar guild and the reception committee. She enjoyed embroidery, playing cards, baking and spending time with her family. On Saturday, March 11, 2017, LaVonne passed away at the Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls, Minnesota at the age of 76. She is survived by her siblings Doris Meier of Vesta, Joan (Rodney) Rasmussen of Shakopee; nieces and nephews Linda (Warren) Kolander, Dawn (Jeff) Bisek, Alvin Meier Jr., Shele (Mike) Siebenaler, Chad (Lisa) Rasmussen and David (Stacy) Meier; aunts Darlene Gladitsch and Betty Paul; and many great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Martha, two brothers LeRoy and James and one brother-in-law Alvin Meier. Blessed be her memory.
