Alan “Juice” Lemcke, 71, of Wabasso, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Wabasso with visitation two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Wabasso. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Alan Alton Lemcke was born on June 21, 1945 in Springfield, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wabasso and graduated from Wabasso High School. He joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany before being honorably discharged. On August 8, 1981, Alan was united in marriage to Mary Sperl at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. They lived in Redwood Falls for a few years before moving to Wabasso. Alan enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, grilling, gardening, canning, doing crossword puzzles and word finds, and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, Alan passed away at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife Mary Lemcke of Wabasso; two sons Zach (Melissa) Lemcke of Wabasso and Jacob Lemcke of Wabasso; three grandchildren Jaxson, Hunter and Dustin; and several extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Blessed be his memory.
