A private, family interment will be held at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Cottonwood, for Craig Post, 71, of Cottonwood. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date when the current COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Craig Alan Post was born on October 17, 1948, in Clarkfield, to Earl and Ruth (Buysse) Post. He grew up in Cottonwood and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1966. Craig enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge he returned to Cottonwood. He worked for more than 30 years as a Custodian at the Cottonwood High School. Craig was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool. He was most fond of following his grandchildren’s activities. Craig died peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday, March 23, 2020, at his residence in Cottonwood. He is survived by his children Wiley (and Crista) Post of Cottonwood, Chas (and Aaron) Kuehn of Echo, Colby (and Danielle) Post of Ivanhoe, grandchildren Cameron, Kyler, Jayla, Tanisha (and Kristopher), Taneka (and Joe), Dominic, Colton, Tucker, Brooks, and one on the way.. Also survived by great-grandchildren Kristopher Jr., Kennedy and Kallie and brother David (and Mavis) Post of Eagan, MN and his best friend Don Gullickson of Coon Rapids, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ruth Post and a great-grandbaby.
