Dennis Arden Naab was born on March 5, 1932, to Walter and Hulda (Zimmer) Naab on the family farm in Posen Township. He was baptized at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Dennis grew up in Southwest Minnesota attending St. Luke’s Parochial School through the 8th grade. Upon completion of Dennis’ education, he began his career farming with his father on the family farm. He met and fell in love with Delores Steinhouse. The couple was married on August 28, 1954, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage until Delores’ death in 2021. Dennis loved to farm. He raised hogs, milked cows and tended to many different crops throughout the years. Dennis also enjoyed driving truck. He would haul livestock, DeKalb seed corn, grain and milk. Dennis’ faith was important to him; he was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Posen Township. He was one of the founding families for the Echo Triple T Horse Saddle Club. He was also a member of the Amiret Roaring Lions Cycle Group. Some of his hobbies included riding his Harley, playing his harmonica, deer hunting and dancing with his wife, Delores. The couple also enjoyed spending their days raising their garden every year, breeding Arabian horses and racing Thoroughbred horses at Canterbury Downs, camping, and card playing. Dennis will be remembered for his work ethic, ability to become the life of the party, being young at heart, but most of all; his love for his family.
