Estella Mazy Markgraf

Estella Mazy Markgraf, 86, of Granite Falls, formerly of Echo, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Granite Health Care Center in Granite Falls. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Echo cemetery. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Estella Mazy (Knable) Markgraf was born on February 21, 1932 to Wilbur Sr. and Estella (Smith) Knable in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, Redwood County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and attended school in Redwood Falls and Belview. On March 13, 1954, Estella was united in marriage to Duwain Markgraf and to this union two children were born, Pam and Roger. They made their home on a farm near Echo until 1996 when they moved to Granite Falls. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Echo, and enjoyed bingo, puzzles, playing cards, having coffee with friends and spending time with her family. On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, Estella passed away at the Granite Health Care Center in Granite Falls, Minnesota at the age of 86. She is survived by her sister Ruth and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duwain, daughter Pam, son Roger and three brothers Wilbur Jr., Leonard and Clifford. Blessed be her memory.
