Evelyn Jeanette Olson

Evelyn Olson, 94, of Echo, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.   Evelyn Jeanette (Stai) Olson was born on July 18, 1923 to Edward and Josephine (Reigstad) Stai in Willmar, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and graduated from Willmar High School. Evelyn was united in marriage to Sidney Olson at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. They made their home in Echo most of their married life until 2014 when Evelyn moved to Sacred Heart. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Belview. She was an avid bowler with many trophies. She loved getting together with friends for coffee or an evening of playing cards. She also enjoyed trying her luck at the slot machines once in awhile. On Saturday, January 15, 2018, Evelyn passed away at the Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls, Minnesota at the age of 94. She is survived by her son Scott (Karen) Olson of Stillwater and granddaughter Michelle. She was preceded in death by her husband Sid, her parents and brother Orlyn. Blessed be her memory.
