Glenn Ralph Mccoy

Glenn Ralph McCoy, 96, of Vesta, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 on the family farm near Vesta. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Echo Alliance Church in Echo. Visitation will be from 4:30 – 7:00 PM on Thursday at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the Vesta Cemetery with a luncheon immediately following the interment at the Vesta Community Center. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.   Glenn Ralph McCoy was born on January 8, 1922 to Burr and Daisy (Wood) McCoy in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, Redwood County. He attended school in District 82 near Vesta until he began farming with his father in 1936. On September 25, 1953, Glenn was united in marriage to Ruby Lucille Moore in Echo, Minnesota. They made their home where Glenn farmed near Vesta. Glenn was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and farmer. He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Echo. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and roller-skating. He liked working with his horses, farming, and more recently spending time with his grandchildren. He and his wife Ruby enjoyed entertaining family and many friends. On Monday, June 18, 2018, Glenn passed away at the family farm and joined his wife Ruby at the gates of Heaven. Glenn was 96 years old. He is survived by his children Ray (Bobbi) McCoy of Maple Plain. Sharon (Marty) Ellis of Aitkin, Burd (Deb) McCoy of Valley Springs, SD, Caleb (Danelle) McCoy of East Chain, and Roxie (Tom) Demuth of Vesta; grandchildren Stephanie (Joe) Klaers, Justin (Caroline) McCoy, Jay (Kylie) McCoy, Jesse (Connie) Ellis, Josiah (Sarah) Ellis, Elya Ellis, Anya Ellis, Maranda McCoy, Brittany (Shane) Johnson, Ashley (Sean) Beck, Angela McCoy, Michael (Megan) McCoy, Nathan (Emily) McCoy, Aaron (LorEllen) McCoy, Andrew (Holly) McCoy, Amber McCoy, Joel (Amber) Demuth, Rosie Demuth, Crystal Demuth and Dustin Demuth; great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Keagan and William Klaers, Madelyn, Landon, and Brooklyn McCoy, Beckett, Lincoln, and Axel McCoy, Emmalissa, ElanAoife, Obadiah and Eli Ellis, Sawyer Johnson, Kaira McCoy, Aavin and Caysen McCoy and Noah McCoy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby, parents, and daughter Priscilla.
