Harriet (Timm) Mueller, 95, of Rochester, formerly of Wood Lake, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her residence in Rochester. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Harriet loved flowers, so we would never discourage your intention of offering such a gift. However, should you prefer to offer a memorial gift instead, we would like to request you honor her memory by offering a memorial in her name to the organization of your choice. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Harriet (Timm) Mueller was born on May 13, 1922 to Julius and Augusta (Todt) Timm in Wood Lake, Minnesota, Yellow Medicine County. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Posen Township. She attended country school, St. John’s parochial school and graduated from Wood Lake High School. Harriet lived in Echo, Wood Lake and Olivia on farms. She then lived in Renville, Granite Falls and Rochester. Harriet worked as a nurse’s aide in Bremerton, Washington during WWII. She also worked as an aide at Bethesda Nursing Home in Willmar and Renvilla Nursing Home in Renville. Harriet was an excellent cook and often had hot cinnamon rolls waiting for her children after they came home from school. Her fried chicken and apple pie dinners every Sunday after church were mouth watering. Harriet also enjoyed baking, traveling and gardening. On Sunday, May 28, 2017, Harriet passed away at her residence in Rochester at the age of 95. She is survived by her children Clark (Phyllis) Mueller of Belgrade, MT, Diane Ladwig of Rochester and Kay (Todd) Strand of Shakopee; grandchildren Kari (Brandon) Barton of Sterling, CO, Kent (Krissy) Mueller of Manhattan, MT and Kelsey, Kaitlin and Kylie Strand of Shakopee; great grandchildren McKinlee Mueller and Stella Jean Barton; three step-grandchildren and twelve step great grandchildren; sisters Verona Sachariason of Montevideo, Dorothy Timm Meili of Willmar and Alice Kvistad of Granite Falls; special friend Henry Feldman of Renville and many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harlan Timm (Twin) and Vernon Timm, son-in-law Gerald Ladwig and brothers-in-law Orton Sachariason, Leroy Meili and John Kvistad.
