Juanita Mae Jesse

Juanita Mae Jesse, 86, of Wood Lake, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Wabasso Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Wabasso. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Posen Township.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Juanita Mae Jesse was born on September 7, 1931 in Fonda, Iowa to George and Eva (Brott) Winebrinner. She was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian faith and graduated from Fonda High School in Fonda, Ia. On November 20, 1949, Juanita was united in marriage to Harold Jesse at Fonda Presbyterian Church in Fonda, Iowa. They made their home in Pomeroy, Iowa where Juanita was a homemaker.  In 1986, they moved to Oklahoma and in 1998 they moved one last time to Minnesota.  Juanita was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and active with the ladies aid.  She enjoyed singing, golfing, cooking, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and family. On Thursday, September 14, 2017, Juanita passed away at the Wabasso Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Wabasso, Minnesota at the age of 86. She is survived by her children Bill (Sue) Jesse of Waukee, IA, Paul (Denise) Jesse of Wood Lake and Harold Dean (Maggie) Jesse of North Liberty, IA; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, daughter Pam and several brothers and a sister. Blessed be her memory.
