Kendal Rose Borning

The funeral service for Kendal Borning, 29, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Echo, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, MN. Visitation will be Friday, October 25, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 26, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Click here to watch the recording of Kendal's service: https://youtu.be/74eH7Wvyqjk Kendal Rose Borning was born on December 13, 1994, to Loren and Elizabeth Borning at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born weighing three lbs. and was baptized at the Sanford Hospital. She stayed there for eight weeks and came home at six lbs. Kendal was confirmed at Rock Valle Lutheran Church. She attended Granite Falls High School and graduated in 2013. After high school, she went on to college and received a degree in Business. Kendal worked at banks in Colorado Springs, CO, Aberdeen, SD, and Sioux Falls, SD. At the time of her death, she worked at First Bank and Trust in Sioux Falls as a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant. She also worked part-time at the Denny Sanford Auditorium. Kendal loved to travel to attend concerts and hang out with her beloved companion, Axle, her Miniature Dachshund. She also loved combine rides with Dad every fall. Kendal died on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD, after a tragic motorcycle accident. She is survived by her parents Loren and Audrey Borning, brother Shane (and Katrina) Knutson, nieces Lily and Arya; sister Michelle (and Jason) Wetsch, nieces Sylvia, Vivian and Norah; uncles and aunts Marilyn and Dan Schmidt of Marshall, Beverly Walker of Wautoma, WI, John Borning of Litchfield, MN, Robert and Ann Borning of Echo, Joyce and Paul Arends of Marshall, Donna and Robert Ricke of Wood Lake, Tammy Evers of Minneota and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Riley, mother Elizabeth, grandparents Glenn and Elaine Borning, Henry and Irene Evers and Uncles Lavern Evers and John Walker.
