Lavon Betty Werner Blank

The funeral service for Lavon Werner Blank, 95, of Wabasso, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Sunset Funeral Home in Wabasso. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Wabasso. Lavon was born on April 22, 1926, to Emil and Esther (Schmidt) Rudenick, in Waterbury Township, Redwood County, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She attended school in rural Wabasso. Lavon was united in marriage to Herbert Werner on August 28, 1947. She became a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in the New Avon Township until 1955 and then moved to Wabasso. Lavon died on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the Carris Health Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls, MN. She is survived by her three sons and one daughter: Delbert of Hammond, WI, Warren (Karen) of Apple Valley, MN, Randy (Laurie) of Owatonna, MN, and Judy of Redwood Falls, MN; five grandchildren Tracy Werner, Brian Werner, Nathan (Stephanie) Werner, Halie (Steven) Terfehr and Jessica Onchanu; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, son Lonnie, brother Darold Rudenick and daughter-in-law Nancy Werner.
