Mae Alice Bowsher

Mae Bowsher, 73, of Wood Lake, passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN on August 29, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Yellow Medicine East Cemetery in Hanley Falls. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.Mae Alice Bowsher was born on March 31, 1944 to Elmer and Mabel (Lalim) Slettedahl in Clarkfield, MN. She lived in Wood Lake and attended Wood Lake Public School. She then went to dental school in Minneapolis.Mae was united in marriage to Robert Bowsher in Des Moines, Iowa. Over the years, Mae lived in Des Moines, IA, Russell, IA, Big Stone City, SD, Watford City, ND, Louisville, CO and Wood Lake, MN. Mae worked as a dental assistant, nursing home assistant and grocery store clerk. Mae was involved with card playing clubs, knitting clubs and church clubs. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, gardening, flowers, knitting, crocheting, sewing, listening to Polka music and loved her cats.Mae passed away on August, 29, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota at the age of 73. She is survived by her son Chris and wife Karie Bowsher and grandsons Chase and Bryce Bowsher all of Redondo Beach, CA; brother Paul and wife Beth Slettedahl of Clear Water, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Carla.Blessed be her memory.
