Robert Mock

A memorial service for Robert Earl Mock, 96, of Granite Falls, MN formerly of Wood Lake, MN will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo, MN beginning at 1:30 P.M. A public visitation will take place at the funeral home beginning one hour prior to the service. Robert Earl Mock was born on January 16, 1928, in Vesta, Redwood County, Minnesota, to Ervin and Eva Mock. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. On September 14, 1952, he married Edna Meier at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. He served in the United States Navy from 1950 – 1954 on the ship The Sebona. Bob farmed for 70 years near Echo. He worked at the Echo Cenex Coop in the fertilizer plant and at the Renville Beet Sugar Plant. He also worked at the Belview Municipal Liquor store as bartender and manager in Belview. Bob had a love for horses, camping, travel, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a 4-H leader. Bob and Edna wintered in Arizona for 17 years in their motorhome. He belonged to the Triple T Saddle Club. Bob was a member of the Echo Legion for over 50 years and served as commander for many of those years. Bob and Edna moved to Granite Ridge apartments 4 years ago and visited the farm often. Bob died at the Clarkfield Care Center on October 2, 2024, at the age of 96 years. Bob is survived by his wife Edna of 72 years; 5 children, Jeffrey, Daniel (Sandy), Kathryn (Dave) Hansen, Jon, and Michael; 11 grandchildren, Quinton (McKenzie), Timothy, Alan, Joel (Heather), James (Ashley), Amanda (Ryan), Brad (Teila), Tanner, Shaun, Patricia, and Samantha; 7 great grandchildren, Ayla, Gabriella, Jocie, Ellis, Bodi, Kaden and Rain.
