Ruby Lucille Mccoy

Ruby McCoy, 88, of Vesta, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Echo. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 PM on Friday at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at the Vesta Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Vesta Community Hall. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.   Ruby Lucille (Moore) McCoy was born on March 17, 1930 to Robert and Effie (Hoffman) Moore in Lamberton, Minnesota, Redwood County. She attended Lamberton schools until moving to Vesta in 1946, graduating from Echo High School in 1948. On September 25, 1953, Ruby was united in marriage to Glenn Ralph McCoy in Echo, Minnesota. They made their home on a farm near Vesta where Ruby was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and wife. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Echo. She enjoyed baking, sewing, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and entertaining her family and many friends. On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, Ruby passed away at her residence surrounded by her family at the age of 88. She is survived by her husband Glenn of Vesta; children Ray (Bobbi) McCoy of Maple Plain, Sharon (Marty) Ellis of Aitkin, Burd (Deb) McCoy of Valley Springs, SD, Caleb (Danelle) McCoy of East Chain and Roxie (Tom) Demuth of Vesta; grandchildren Stephanie (Joe) Klaers, Justin (Caroline) McCoy, Jay (Kylie) McCoy, Jesse (Connie) Ellis, Josiah (Sarah) Ellis, Elya Ellis, Anya Ellis, Maranda McCoy, Brittany (Shane) Johnson, Ashley (Sean) Beck, Angela McCoy, Michael (fiancé Megan) McCoy, Nathan (Emily) McCoy, Aaron (LorEllen) McCoy, Andrew (Holly) McCoy, Amber McCoy, Joel (Amber) Demuth, Rosie Demuth, Crystal Demuth and Dustin Demuth; great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Keagan and William Klaers, Madelyn, Landon and Brooklyn McCoy, Beckett, Lincoln and Axel McCoy, Emmalissa, ElanAoife, Obadiah and Eli Ellis, Sawyer Johnson, Kaira McCoy, Aavin and Caysen McCoy and Noah McCoy; sister Myrtle Kruse of New Ulm; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Priscilla, brothers Robert Moore Jr., Victor Moore and an infant brother, and sisters Velma “DeeDee” Disque and Aletha “Lee” Winseth.
