Steven "Eb" Alois Frank

Steven “Eb” Frank, 55, of Wanda, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM on Thursday at St. Anne's Catholic Church with a prayer service at 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the St. Mathias Cemetery in Wanda. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Steven “Eb” Alois Frank was born on September 19, 1961 to Wilbur and Joan (Bernardy) Frank in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso, attended St. Anne’s Catholic School, and graduated from Wabasso High School. After high school, Steve worked for area farmers and Moormans Feed Co. He then moved to the cities for a few years working construction before moving home to Wanda. On September 9, 1995, Steve was united in marriage to Janell Schroepfer at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda. They made their home in Wanda where Steve worked as a carpenter for Jeff Heiling Construction. Steve was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda, Wanda City Counsel for many years and the Wanda Fire Department for 20 years. He enjoyed the lake, fishing, hunting, gardening, canning, cooking, softball, attending his children’s sporting events, and spending time with friends and family. On Monday, July 31, 2017, Steve passed away at the Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls at the age of 55. He is survived by his wife Janell of Wanda; children Miranda (Josh) Hadley of Wabasso, Morgan Frank and Jenna Frank of Wanda, Justin J. Frank of St. Louis Park and Justin M. Frank of Wanda; grandchildren Reese and Brody Frank; brothers John (Char) Frank of Wabasso, Mike (Chris) Frank of Wabasso, David Frank of Wabasso, Kenny (Julie) Frank of Chanhassen and Dennis (Nancy) Frank of Wabasso; sisters Diane (Jim) Guetter of Wabasso, Mary (Jeff) Heiling of Wabasso, Suzie (John) VanLoy of Wabasso, Cathy (Todd) Altermatt of Wabasso, Janice (Bob Wesely) Baune of Wabasso, Margaret (Jeff) Fennern of Wabasso, Lori (Steve) Koch of Slayton and Vicki (Craig) Irlbeck of Wanda; mother-in-law Marian Schroepfer; sister-in-law Kris (Mark) Fischer of Redwood Falls; brothers-in-law Leon (Jolene) Schroepfer of Ghent, Mike (Robyn) Schroepfer of Lamberton, Glen (Diane) Schroepfer of Wabasso and Pat (Marlene) Schroepfer of Lamberton. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and George, and father-in-law Vern Schroepfer and many family and close friends. Blessed be his memory.
