Steven Wayne Paul

A celebration for the life of Steven Paul, 66, of Vesta will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Vesta Community Center. In honor of Steve, please wear his favorite color, blue, in casual clothing. Steven “Smiley” Wayne Paul was born on March 11, 1954, in Marshall, MN, to William “Smiley” and Jean (Thompson) Paul. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1972. In 1979, he was united in marriage to Deb Aker. The couple had two sons: Ryan and Wade. Steve enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, golfing hunting and trapping. Steven died on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Deb, son Ryan and his spouse Jessica, granddaughters Hailey, Holly and Hannah, and son Wade and special friend Emily, siblings Brenda (and Harlowe) Sumner, Al (and Janice) Paul, Tab (and Diane) Paul, Sharon Paul and special friend Gil Sook, Kim (and Jeremy) Barck, a large extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William, mother Jean, niece Holly and numerous cousins and other relatives. The family wishes to express appreciation for all kind expressions of sympathy and friendship. Thank you, all, for your thoughtfulness.
