Roy Pequin - Vesta

Roy Pequin, age 74 of Vesta passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Vesta Cemetery. The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. Roy Donald Pequin was born on June 29, 1939 to Arthur and Emma (Redman) Pequin in Granite Rock Township, Redwood County. He attended Country School in the area and was a member of the Alliance Church in Echo, Minnesota. Roy lived in the Vesta area and was a Truck Driver for Bennett and Viessman Trucking for over 30 years. He also owned his own leather business in Vesta. Roy had a passion for working with horses. On September 17, 2013 Roy passed away unexpectedly at his home in Vesta at the age of 74 years old. Roy is survived by his children, Scott and wife Cora Pequin of Long Prairie, Marc Pequin Babcock of Marshall, Daniel Pequin Babcock of Marshall, and Jacob Pequin of Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Gene Pequin of Marshall, Connie Mohrman of Monticello, Carolyn Christensen of Redwood Falls, and Diane Berg of Redwood Falls; two grandchildren, Brett and Christopher Pequin, and extended family. His parents, sister, Helen Sander, brother, Kenneth Pequin, and infant son, Curtis Lee Pequin preceded him in death. Blessed be his memory.
