Alyce Betty Jacobson was born on June 29, 1928, in Minneapolis, MN, to Tyler and Hilda (Hetle) Gullickson. She grew up and attended school in Belview. On August 6, 1948, she was united in marriage to David Jacobson. To this union were born children David, Michael, Karen and Kathy. The couple later divorced in the 1960s. Alyce attended Secretarial Training in Canby and worked for KLGR and as a Bookkeeper for Home Gas in Redwood Falls. Alyce lived in a variety of communities over the years including Mantorville, Willmar and Fargo. While in Fargo she lived with Michael and helped with child care. At the time of her retirement she was living in Redwood Falls and working at Zytec. Alyce overcame many difficulties in her life. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles and she was a very attentive grandmother and great-grandmother. Alyce died on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. She is survived by her children Michael (and Julie) Jacobson of Fargo, Karen (and David) Pederson of Echo, Kathy Sparrow of Winthrop, grandchildren Mike (and Theresa) Jacobson, Kris Jacobson (and Erica,) Jamie Vincent, Erica Werner, Jennifer Vincent, Jennifer (and Matt) Schneringer, Scott (and Natalie) Pederson, Kyle Sparrow and Nick Sparrow, also 9 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son David, and brothers Harry and Lloyd.
