Harvey Allen Sunvold was born on July 5, 1943, in Willmar, to Harry and Amanda Sunvold. He graduated from Renville High School and the University of Minnesota. After graduation, he married and worked for Sears Roebuck Company, Goodyear and Petco in Minneapolis. He fiercely loved his family: including his children Jeff (and Karen), Mike (significant other Kris), Jenny (and Dan), all of his grandchildren: Colton, Kaden, Everett, Chloe, Diem and Macy. Also, the family and grandchildren of his second wife, Leslie, and all of his special friends from high school and relatives: Jerry and Sharon Sunvold, Gene and Joyce Iverson, Nathan and Ali Sunvold, Scott and Angela Sunvold, Darell and Mary Sunvold, Roger Lanning and Marge Sunvold. He loved his farming, for which he moved from the city in 2001. He was happiest fishing at the cabin, hunting deer, or attending his children’s sporting activities including swimming and football. Harvey was born in the wrong century. He was happy chopping wood or trapping, particularly with his sons and grandsons. Harvey was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Clare Sunvold, his mother, father, sisters Anna and Irene. He was a true friend, a loving husband and a wonderful man. He was a very proud Norwegian. A celebration of life will take place this fall on his farm. Blessed be his name and his memory.
